At this point, construction can begin. We will go over your house plans one last time with you before breaking ground for the foundation. The construction will proceed in phases, such as roughing in the plumbing and electrical, putting on the roof, and doing all of the custom finishes like laying tile and floors and painting your house. At each phase, you will have the opportunity to go to a “muddy boots” meeting where you can walk around the site and check on progress.
At any point during construction, if you have questions or concerns, we are happy to help. We want you to be happy with the finished product, so if there is something that you want us to address, we encourage you to let us know.
When construction is complete, we will do a final walkthrough with you. This will include an orientation to your new house, explaining various features. We will also complete any punch list items and answer any questions that you may have.
The final step in the new home construction process is the closing. As with other real estate transactions, the closing is necessary to take care of the legalities. At the closing, title to the house will be transferred to you and you’ll get the keys to your brand new house.

Millsboro is a small town of roughly 7,600 people located in Sussex County, Delaware. It was first settled by English colonists in the 1600s. Settlers came to the region to cut timber. Lumber was a major industry in the town for much of its early years.
